Once again Elektrobudowa SA delivers Isolated-Phase Busduct to ABB. Scope of supply covers generator connection (4 Units) in Pump & Storage Power Plant in Linth-Limmern, Switzerland.
The power plant is located high in mountains, approx. 1700 a.s.l., and the connection system is particularly complicated with numerous equipment what creates an interesting challenge for our engineers. The installation is going to take place 600m inside the mountain at the foot of the Lake Limmern Dam. The new pumped storage facility will pump water from this lake to Lake Mutt, located 630m higher. In case of need, it can be used to produce more electricity. The upgrade will increase the output of the power plant from 450MW to 1450MW and will secure the energy supply for north-east and central part of Switzerland.
